Hello, A Saku branch will be opening in Brentwood in May.
In order to lead the restaurant with us, we are looking for a new opening member.

Position: Kitchen Staff (Prep/Dishwasher/Line-Cook

-We need English proficiency at a level that can be used in everyday conversations even though most of our employees are Japanese
-Visa holders who can work in Canada and have more than 6 months left on their visa
-No experience is necessary to apply for the kitchen assistant position. It is possible to adjust the day and time of the week.
-Hourly + tip + vacation pay.

Prepare and cook sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and presentation of sushi dishes meets customer expectations
- Assist with food preparation and service as needed
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Oversee and Improve the current menu by creating new recipes and introducing new styles of authentic Japanese dishes.
- Determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
- Prepare food and cook dishes, present high-quality food, and handle rush hour orders.
- Organize daily preparation schedule.
- Ensure all food preparation meets standards.
- Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a restaurant or sushi bar
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and ingredients
- Ability to handle and prepare raw fish safely and efficiently
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
