●Introduction

Nice to meet you. I’m Wakako Sakae, a film director and screenwriter.
I’m currently planning a self-produced short film (15-20 minutes long) in Vancouver and am working with an 8-member production team to develop the script and art design.
We are now casting for six roles, including the main character: two women and four men.

●Project Overview

Plot
The protagonist, who experienced the COVID-19 pandemic during her high school years, searches for the meaning of life while living in Vancouver. The film portrays life in Vancouver from the perspective of a Japanese person.

Filming Schedule
Mid-January to early February 2025 @ Downtown Vancouver and Burnaby

Audition Schedule
Early January 2025 @ Online (to be scheduled individually)

Casting Details

Note: Due to the ultra-low budget, we can only provide beverages as compensation.

●Roles Available

Main Character (Female): A woman in her 20s

Friend (Female): A woman in her 20s who can act in a “gyaru” style

Male A: A man between 20-50 years old

Male B: A man between 20-50 years old

Homeless Man: A man between 30-60 years old (preferably someone who can speak English)

British Columbia Regimentというアーミーのユニットのサポートをしているコミュニティーバンドでは、随時メンバーを募集しています。以前投稿した記事がなくなってしまったので、再投稿しています。

季節ごとにバンクーバーで行われるイベントやパレードで演奏したり、毎年夏と冬にオカナガンの方へバンドトリップに行ったり、活動内容も盛りだくさんです。この2月にはVernonへの演奏旅行が決まっています。

できれば長期間一緒に演奏できる方の参加をお待ちしておりますが、ワーキングホリデー、語学留学などの短期滞在の方も参加していただいています。吹奏楽経験者の方、大歓迎です。

メンバーは地元の人がほとんどなので、生の英語に触れるチャンスでもあります。週１回月曜日19:30~21:30の練習時間です。練習場所は、SkytrainのStadium-Chinatownの駅前にあるThe Drill HallというArmyの建物の中です。アドレスは620 Beatty Street, Vancouverです。
