I have 16 years of experience as a university faculty member in sociology in Japan and hold a PhD in Sociology. My past positions include Assistant Professor at Nara Women's University (5 years), Associate Professor at Chiba University (10 years), and Professor at Rikkyo University (1.5 years). I conducted independent research projects at the University of Victoria in BC for five years, receiving a $5,000 scholarship and admission to the interdisciplinary Social Dimensions of Health PhD Program. Over my career, I have secured 404,000 CAD in research funding as a principal investigator. My academic achievements include one monograph, ten journal papers, twelve book chapters, and over forty conference presentations. I have also been invited to give lectures and public talks and have served as a committee member for the Tokyo Human Rights Expert Panel.
Additionally, I hold a Japanese Language Teaching Certificate and provide guidance and training in Academic Japanese.
