🍣 Sushi Cook – Full-Time
Location: Vanderhoof, BC
Position: Full-Time Sushi Cook
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
Pay: $18.25–$20.00/hour + tips, depending on experience
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Sushi Cook to join our team in Vanderhoof, BC.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sushi, rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese-style dishes according to our recipes and standards
- Prepare ingredients and maintain proper food handling and hygiene practices
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and portion sizes
- Keep the kitchen and work areas clean and organized
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment
- Assist with general kitchen duties as required
- Work as part of a friendly and supportive team
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a sushi restaurant
- Good knowledge of sushi preparation and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods
- Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- FoodSafe certification is an asset
