Wilder Snail is Hiring: Experienced Afternoon & Closing Barista / Front of House
Wilder Snail, a cozy neighborhood cafe & grocery located in Strathcona / East Van, is looking for an experienced, energetic, and reliable team member to join our team for afternoon and closing shifts!
Working Holiday visa holders with cafe experience are very welcome to apply.
■ Position Details
Role: Afternoon / Closing Staff (Barista & Front of House)
Hours: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (Days negotiable)
Location: 799 Keefer St, Vancouver, BC V6A 1Y6 (Strathcona / East Van)
■ Wage & Benefits
Starting Wage: $18.25 / hour + Weekly Tips (Tips distributed weekly!)
⭐ Immediate Wage Increase: For experienced hires, your hourly wage will increase immediately upon completion of the training period! (We value your skills and compensate accordingly once you're up to speed)

■ Requirements
Visa Status: Valid Canadian work permit (Working Holiday, Co-op, etc.) with at least 8+ months remaining (Must be able to commit long-term)
Experience: Hands-on commercial espresso machine & milk steaming experience (Able to adapt quickly to our bar workflow)
English Level: Conversational English (comfortable communicating with local regulars and taking orders)
Certification: Food Safe Level 1 (required, or willing to obtain promptly)
Traits: Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with closing routines
■ Key Responsibilities
Crafting quality espresso drinks and beverages
Operating the till, welcoming neighborhood regulars, and keeping the cafe clean and welcoming
Managing daily 7:00 PM closing procedures (espresso machine backflushing/cleaning, restocking, and locking up)
