A Canadian website programmer and English ESL teacher currently living in Osaka, Japan scammed me in Vancouver in 2011 and 15 years later I'm still spending money on lawyers in Japan chasing him for the money. He uses a fake English name and tells people he's Canadian, but he's Ukrainian born. He later immigrated to Canada and lived in Vancouver until 2013 when he fled to Japan to escape the debt he owes me from my share of the dating website for Japanese women and Canadian men he created in 2011 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

In September 2011 I unfortunately met him and his then Japanese girlfriend in Vancouver, Canada because they were the owners of this dating website for Japanese women and Canadian men in Vancouver. I had joined his dating website along with other local men because I was interested in meeting and possibly dating Japanese women in Vancouver.

2011年9月、私はバンクーバーで彼と当時の日本人のガールフレンドに偶然出会いました。彼らはバンクーバーで日本人女性とカナダ人男性向けの出会い系サイトを運営していたからです。私はバンクーバーで日本人女性と出会い、あわよくば交際したいと思い、他の地元男性たちと一緒に彼のサイトに登録していました。

After I met them they said they were looking for an investor to become a partner and own 33% of the website and help it grow and become more popular. They presented me with a business plan and said they hoped I would become that partner. I made the mistake of trusting them because they seemed very enthusiastic about me and asked me for $25,000. We wrote down and agreement we all signed and I gave them $25,000. Later in 2012 I gave them a final $5,000. He asked me for even more money, but I refused and should have never given him a single dollar since he proved within a few months of getting the money who he really is: A liar, a fraud artist and a deadbeat that only cares about himself.

When I met them they were living in a very cheap and poor quality apartment building at 1075 Jervis Street in downtown Vancouver. See this post about the building from 2011:

Within a few days of getting the money from me, they moved into a much nicer and much more expensive apartment and bought apple computers and phones for themselves. The agreement was to pay me the monthly interest and he did that for only 6 months and then told me he wouldn't give me any more money proving he is a liar and a deadbeat.

He was allegedly working on promoting the website but very few local men or Japanese women joined and it never made any money even though he spent some of the money I gave him to advertise on a local website for Japanese in Canada called www.jpcanada.com.

Soon after he stopped paying me he complained that I was bothering him constantly asking him for the debt repayment he had agreed to pay me every month, so he blocked me on social media and changed phone numbers so I couldn't reach him. What an appallingly awful man!

彼が支払いを止めた直後、毎月支払うと約束していた借金の返済を私がしつこく催促していると文句を言い出し、SNSで私をブロックし、電話番号も変えて連絡を取れないようにしました。なんてひどい男でしょう！

He was very enthusiastic about me giving them money for the website, but once they had it, they spent it on themselves, stopped paying me back within 6 months and then blocked me because I was bothering him to pay back the money he had signed an agreement to pay.

彼はウェブサイトの費用を私が彼らに出すことにとても乗り気でしたが、お金を受け取るとすぐに自分たちのために使い込み、6ヶ月以内に返済を止め、私が返済を催促して迷惑をかけているという理由で私をブロックしました。

In summer 2012 he contacted me again and apologized and said he wanted to meet me and picked me up from my work in a red Mustang convertible car. When confronted with the car, he said someone had let him use it and was paying all the payments, gas an insurance on it. When I asked him for the monthly interest for the past few months he said that he wouldn't give it to me and if I asked him for it again he would block me again. In 2013 he shut the website down and said it wasn't popular and couldn't make any money. Once he had the $30,000 I gave him he probably did very little work on the dating website and decided it was much easier to forget about it and spend the money on a nice apartment, a car and himself and his Japanese girlfriend.

In 2013 he told me that he and his girlfriend were moving to Japan to live there so he could teach English and start paying me back. I protested greatly at this and offered to let him live in my apartment for $1000 a month, and all of the payments would go to paying off his debt. So he would be living in my apartment for free, and paying me $1000 a month in debt repayment. He refused and proved once again he's a fraud artist, a liar and a deadbeat. He could have lived in my apartment for free and all his payments would go to his debt so he could have paid it off in about 3 years but he refused that and left!

2013年、彼は彼女と日本に移住して英語教師をし、借金を返済していくと私に告げました。私はこれに強く反対し、月額1000ドルで私のアパートに住まわせてあげると提案しました。家賃はすべて彼の借金返済に充てられるという条件です。つまり、彼は私のアパートに無料で住み、毎月1000ドルを借金返済に充てるというわけです。しかし彼はそれを拒否し、またしても詐欺師、嘘つき、そして無責任な人間であることを証明しました。彼は私のアパートに無料で住み、家賃はすべて借金返済に充てられたので、3年ほどで完済できたはずなのに、それを拒否して出て行ってしまったのです！

He went to Nagoya, Japan in 2013 and married his girlfriend in Japan in December 2013 in order to get a work visa. He admitted this to me and he left her once he had the work visa. So they scammed me in Vancouver, but now he scammed his scam partner and girlfriend in Japan by marrying her just for the work visa. No one is safe from his scams. He will take advantage of anyone to get what he wants and doesn't care about anyone but himself. He might have more victims than me and his former girlfriend, later wife. She of course divorced him because of his behaviour, but incredibly, he remarried another clueless Japanese woman in Osaka, probably to extend his work visa there to hide from his debt to me in Canada.

彼は2013年に日本の名古屋に行き、就労ビザを取得するために同年12月に日本でガールフレンドと結婚しました。彼は私にそのことを認め、就労ビザを取得するとすぐに彼女を捨てました。つまり、彼らはバンクーバーで私を騙しただけでなく、今度は就労ビザのためだけに結婚することで、日本の詐欺パートナーでありガールフレンドでもあった女性をも騙したのです。彼の詐欺から逃れられる人は誰もいません。彼は自分の欲しいものを手に入れるためなら誰をも利用し、自分のことしか考えていません。私や元ガールフレンド（後に妻となった女性）以外にも、彼にはもっと多くの被害者がいるかもしれません。彼女は当然、彼の行いのために彼と離婚しましたが、信じられないことに、彼は大阪でまた別の何も知らない日本人女性と再婚しました。おそらく、カナダで私に負っている借金から逃れるために、大阪で就労ビザを延長しようとしたのでしょう。

Even though he said he had moved to Japan in 2013 to teach English and pay me back, he paid me $0 in 2013, $0 in 2014 and $45 in 2015. Once again when I asked him for money, he told me I was bothering him too much and he would block me if I asked him for more money.

彼は2013年に英語教師として日本に移住し、借金を返済すると言っていたにもかかわらず、2013年も2014年も0ドル、2015年には45ドルしか支払ってくれませんでした。再び返済を求めたところ、彼は「しつこい」と言い、これ以上要求したらブロックすると脅してきました。

In 2016 I finally did what I should have done much earlier and sued him in British Columbia, Canada Provincial Court. He didn't fight the lawsuit because he knew he was guilty and he was hiding from it in Japan, so I won the lawsuit by default in July 2016. The plan was then to enforce it in Japan.

2016年、私はもっと早くやるべきだったことをようやく実行に移し、カナダのブリティッシュコロンビア州地方裁判所に彼を提訴しました。彼は自分が有罪であることを知っていたため、訴訟を起こさず、日本に逃亡していたので、2016年7月に欠席判決で勝訴しました。その後、日本で賠償金を執行する予定でした。

The lawsuit made no difference however because he still didn't pay me, so the story about him and the debt and lawsuit were posted online and he found them. He was of course very upset at the truth about him being a deadbeat and losing the lawsuit was online, so agreed to pay $200 a month if the truth about him was taken down. It was hidden online, so he started paying me $200 a month on Dec 1 2016. I should have said no and said it won't be taken down until the entire debt is paid off. By now the debt is much larger of course since 10 years have passed.

しかし、訴訟を起こしても彼は依然として返済しなかったため、彼の借金と訴訟に関する記事がネット上に公開され、彼はそれを見つけてしまいました。彼は、自分が借金を滞納していて訴訟に負けたという事実がネット上に流出したことに当然ながら激怒し、その事実を削除してくれるなら月200ドル支払うと申し出ました。ネット上の情報は削除されたため、彼は2016年12月1日から月200ドルの支払いを始めました。私は断るべきでした。借金が完済されるまで削除しないと伝えるべきだったのです。10年が経過した今、借金は当然ながらはるかに増えています。

He reduced his payments to only $50 a month starting April 1 2021 blaming COVID for the reduction in monthly payments.

He reduced his pathetic $50 monthly payments to only $10 in May 2025 after he got a letter from my lawyer in Japan saying he would be sued if he didn't pay the debt he owes me.

さらに2025年5月、日本の弁護士から「借金を返済しなければ訴訟を起こす」という警告書を受け取った後、彼はその情けない月50ドルの支払額をわずか10ドルにまで減らしました。

He of course didn't pay so as promised in June 2025 I sued him in Osaka, Japan prefecture court since his registered address with Japanese immigration was there. Just like the lawsuit I filed against him in Canada in 2016 he didn't fight it and didn't even show up to the court hearing, so I won again by default in Japan on July 1, 2025.

もちろん彼は支払いをしなかったので、約束通り2025年6月、彼の日本の入国管理局への登録住所が大阪にあるため、私は大阪府裁判所に彼を提訴しました。 2016年にカナダで彼を訴えた時と同様、彼は争わず、裁判にも出廷しなかったため、2025年7月1日に日本で再び欠席判決による勝訴を勝ち取りました。

After losing the court cases in Canada and Japan by default, he has threatened to declare bankruptcy to try to escape the judgments against him. He has hired a bankruptcy lawyer in Japan and that lawyer has contacted my lawyer there. This is of course typical deadbeat behaviour to escape debt. He's proved many times that no one should trust him. He only cares about himself and will use anyone to get what he wants and once he's done with them he throws them away like a piece of garbage. He's treated me like that since shortly after I gave him the money in 2011.

カナダと日本で欠席判決による敗訴を喫した後、彼は判決から逃れるために破産宣告をすると脅迫してきました。彼は日本で破産弁護士を雇い、その弁護士は私の日本の弁護士に連絡を取ってきました。これはもちろん、借金逃れのための典型的な悪質な手口です。彼はこれまで何度も、誰も彼を信用すべきではないことを証明してきました。彼は自分のことしか考えておらず、目的のためなら誰でも利用し、用済みになればゴミのように捨ててしまうのです。 2011年に彼にお金を渡した直後から、彼は私をそんな風に扱い続けています。

He has so far ruined almost 15 years of my life as off summer 2026. I spent the years from 2011 until 2103 chasing him for the money he owes me in Canada, and from 2013 until now in Japan. Can you imagine chasing someone for 15 years across 2 countries for money they owe you? Imagine you're a Canadian using the Japanese legal system to try to get your money back. That's what I'm doing. Imagine you're a Japanese person using the legal system in Canada to try to get your money back from someone that fled their debt in Japan and you'll understand my situation since 2013.

2026年夏現在、彼は私の人生のほぼ15年間を台無しにしてきました。2011年から2013年まではカナダで、そして2013年から現在までは日本で、彼が私に借りているお金の返済を求めて奔走していました。2つの国をまたいで15年間も、借金の返済を求めて追いかけることを想像できますか？カナダ人が日本の法制度を利用してお金を取り戻そうとしている状況を想像してみてください。まさに私が今やっていることです。日本人がカナダの法制度を利用して、日本で借金から逃げた相手からお金を取り戻そうとしている状況を想像してみてください。そうすれば、2013年以降の私の状況が理解できるでしょう。

This is an ongoing story. Remember I have default judgment against him in Japan so he's in a lot of legal trouble there. The court in Osaka, Japan is currently scheduling a financial disclosure hearing he will have to appear at. If he doesn't appear he will be in even deeper trouble there.

これはまだ解決していない問題です。ご存知の通り、私は日本で彼に対して欠席判決を得ており、彼は日本で多くの法的トラブルを抱えています。大阪の裁判所は現在、彼が出廷しなければならない財産開示審理の日程を調整中です。彼が出廷しなければ、さらに深刻な事態に陥るでしょう。

Unfortunately suing him in Canada and Japan over the last 10 years has of course cost me a lot of money so I'm seeking help in recovering some of it to soften the pain I've endured since 2011.
