We are the main food preparation team for modern Japanese Tonkatsu restaurants in Metro Vancouver. We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor to join our central kitchen team.
Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of the kitchen staff. This includes setting goals and targets, monitoring progress, and providing feedback and guidance to Ensure that the kitchen staff is meeting the standards of the restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare meat, poultry, and seafood according to orders from restaurants.
- Monitoring food quality and presentation, and ensuring food is prepared according to recipes and instructions.
- Maintain kitchen area including cooler, freezer, and equipments clean and organized
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Instructing, demonstrating, and training staff on food preparation, packaging, and delivery.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Monitoring the distribution process to ensure food is delivered in good condition
- Determining and requesting the supplies and materials needed, and maintaining an appropriate inventory.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory
- Minimum 2 years Food & Beverage experience
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques (Knife skills preferred)
- Exceptional communication and people management skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Flexible availability for weekends
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Minimum 1 year of valid work permit/PR/Citizen)
- Food Safe Certificate
Working hours: Monday-Sunday (Work 5 days a week, No work on public holidays)
Working time: 08:00-16:00
