For each country in which you or your family members have lived for more than six months during the past 10 years, you must provide a police certificate, clearance or record of no information.
------------------------------- Question: I lived in Canada for a while should I provide a police certificate from the RCMP?
Answer: If, since attaining the age of 18, you lived in Canada for 6 months or more in the past ten years you must provide a RCMP certificate. If this is the case, send us a fax or a letter (no E-mail please) to the Visa Section-Canadian Embassy, with your complete name and address and we will send you the necessary form with detailed instructions. You do not need to wait to receive the RCMP certificate to submit your application. Include a letter with your application stating that your requested the certificate. Once you received the police certificate wait until the visa office contact you, or if you already received your file number from the visa office, (it begins with the letter B), send the certificate to the visa office.
