I have a problem with my laptop. When I was using it the other day, suddenly, it crashed and blue screen came and gave me an error message. Now, I wouldn’t turn on!!!!

The only thing I can see is ”press ’r’ to repair”. Even though I press ’r’, nothing happens. My system recovery CD doesn’t work either. I went a few steps and stopped running it.. 　

if you haven’t any important file in your PC, you can format it then you can install a New OS with recovery CD. by the way, you must start your PC from floppy disk then to do it.

I’ve tried formatting, but it failed for some reason... Start from FD? How is it different from starting from CD and how can I start from FD? 　

I went to a Japanese computer store in Van, but they couldn’t get it fixed. They said I had to send it to TOSHIBA Japan... Nothing wrong was Hard disks. I guess it’s because of power or fuse inside the computer... Can anybody fix it?? 　

東芝PCについて、詳しいことが分かりませんが、もし、CDの中に起動用ファイルがあれば、そのままCDから起動して、再インストールも可能、CDの中に起動用ファイルがなければ、先ず、PCのシステムの中から起動用ファイルを3.5インチのデスクに落として、そして、3.5インチのフロッピデスクから起動して、ハードデスクをフォマートし、再インストールすること。もし、ハードテスクが壊れた場合には、ハードを交換しかできません。東芝の機種について、こちら（バンクーバー）のPCの店に殆ど有りますので、わざわざ日本に送って修理してもらう必要がない、PCの保証期内なれば、運賃がかかりますが、保証期外の場合には、日本での修理代はもっとかかります。
因みに４０G のハードデスクは約170カナダドル位。

助ける人さん、どうもありがとうございます。結局、私のPCは、ハードドライブに問題はなく、電源かフューズなどの内部のものに問題があるらしいです。ここカナダでは、どうしようもできない状況だと、お店の人に言われました。結局、中古で新しいPCを買いました。色々、情報をありがとうございました。感謝しています。
