電話にでる時(これから自分が取るとき）よくI got it、と聞きますが、これは過去形じゃないですよね。
I will get it　と、どう使い方が違うのでしょうか。丁寧語じゃないのに過去形を使う表現って他にもありますか？文法を勉強して混乱しています。誰かわかる方解説していただけますか？

No, it’s not a past tense. It’s an abbreviated form of ”I’ve got it.” It has the same meaning as ”I have it.”

I ’ve got itの省略っていう説明はわかりましたが、それって現在完了ですか？これから自分が電話を取るっていう時、I ’ve got itっていう事もあるという事ですか？

Yes. You can say ”I got it.” when you are about to pick up the phone.

Even though it’s in present perfect tense,it’s same as ”I have it.” like I said in the 1st post.

One thing that you don’t seem to understand here is, the word ”get (got)” doesn’t necessarily mean physically picking up an object like phone.

Think of it as saying ”I’ve got it covered.” It’s like saying ｢引き受けた｣in Japanese, in the same sense that you are not actually pulling and catching a thing.

We use ”I got it.” in all kind of situations where you don’t physically ”get” things.

For example,
”Can anyone call him and let him know?”
”I got it.”

I can’t explain it well, but I hope you understand what I am trying to say :p

Thank you so much, I understand how to use ”got”. I thought past perfect always expresses past continuous things.
I have studied English for long time,but it is still difficut. again,thank you for your kind and paraite answers.
