As you already know what it means, there are some other common uses for POP as listed below.
@Pop out = Quickly go out for a short time. For example: I am just popping out to buy some bread.
@Pop In = Somebody comes over your place or you go over somebody else’s place. For example:
My friend popped in for a coffee yesterday.
The word ’pop’is used for many things but generally means a sudden action or small explosion (often under pressure)or it can be a sound (popping sound) A very common example of using pop is:
We popped the Champagne cork and enjoyed a glass of Champagne together.
He popped (burst/exploded) some balloons.
@Pop off = To die (very informal)
@Pop over = To visit someone’s house
@Pop Under = To place under something. For example: I popped the magazines under the coffee table.
@Pop Up = To appear suddenly. For example: Some more information popped up about David Beckham and his affairs.
