should be able to〜
by Kenji from バンクーバー 2003/09/18 17:30:51

When I watched Star Treck on TV, I heard that the captain of the spaceship said ”We should be able to land”.
What does ”should be able to〜” mean?
After that the ship landed on the ground.
Please explain the meaning to me.
And is this common phrase? Do the native speakers of English use it usually?
If it is, would you explain when can I use it?
