this person should pay extra not just for free room and board
8hoursX$8 plus 30minX$12(it’s over 11 hours)=$70 a day for babysitting
$70X4=$280 a week.
$280X4=$1120 a month.
$1120-$350 (this is maximam at a month you can charge for room and board to nanny legality.)= $770
so you should pay at least $770 if you want her/him to work for you 4 days a week.
l’m tired of hearing these kind of people trying to take advantage of japanese who doesn’t know about working deal and low.
and hope you can understand that how hard is live in with your boss.

Hi Anne, You should know that you are not only taking an advantage from inocent Japanese ladies, but you don’t seem to care about your own children well enough. I don’t think that someone who would take this kind of deal,is not a professional nanny. Please be responsible for your own kids. 　

Minimum wage you have to pay to a nanny per month is around $1,400. (you can deduct $325 max. for room & board). Also you have responsibility to pay CPP, EI & Tax for as an employer.
