It’s actually really frustrating to teach someone another language. You should find someone that only speaks ENGLISH to teach you the language. Go to those language exchange programs. You can teach them Japanese while the others teach you English.
For someone that speaks both English and Japanese, it’s irritating trying to communicate in English with Japanese people cuz it’s so much easier and faster to understand when both of us communicate in Japanese.
I hope I got the message across without being too mean.
If you want to learn, You should get a Tutor and pay them for tutoring you instead of trying to get a free English lesson....

why are you even in canada if you are that close-minded?
stop thinking so selfishly.
if students/etc. come to canada and want to practice english with someone from the same country, whats the problem?
its not a just a “free lesson"..
but everyone, including yourself, is entitled to have an opinion, no matter how uneducated that opinion may be.

Then why don’t you send Ms.M email and start helping her?
I don’t know if you are Japanese, but I think you are good enough because you understand Japanese since you are here and understand this topic.
I think Res22 was just being honest.
It’s just the fact that it’s sometimes irritating to teach someone language.
If you don’t like that thinking, you do it first. Lead by example.
