日本人が英語ではじめて自己紹介するときに‘I am actually Japanese’　なんて言わないのと一緒で、誰も聞いてないのに‘I am actually Canadian’って自己紹介するカナダ人がどこにいる？不自然にactuallyを(頻繁に)使う傾向があるのは初級英語をお勉強中の日本人。

君、E-mail収集が目的？ 　

I didn’t know (some) people on JP Canada could be so rude... I’m guessing you are also a guy? Well, unfortunately, you are wrong. I didn’t come here 2 years ago. I actually did live in Japan for about 2 years. And my first language is not Japanese.

I really don’t care who you are, I’m just interested in making friends here. Anyway, good luck making friends with that attitude!

　

PS In response to your comment about ’actually’. The reason I said ’I’m actually Canadian’ is that most people on JP Canada are Japanese (duh). But I think you are misinterpreting the usage here. Well, good luck! 笑〜

If you read what my post says, it clearly does not make fun of Japanese people. And you used the phrase ’numb-nuts’. People don’t use that any more. I give up. You are the man. Keep up the good work shooting down other people on JP Canada.

I’d recommend just start talking to them at the coffee shop. Or in a bar. Anywhere downtown usually has quite the number of Japanese. The only difference is, some Japanese people will automatically be suspicious of you because you speak Japanese so fluently. Well, I’d offer to talk to you but I’m basically in the same position as you except a year younger.
