SHAW　の　HI　SPEED LITE　から HI　SPEED　に変更しようよ思っていますが、　　　通信速度のどれくらい速くなるか疑問です。　　
ADSL　は　　場所によって速度に違いが見れますが　CABLE　の場合は関係ないと思うのですが　皆さんの意見を聞かせてください。

DSL is best if it works good. you get a steady dedicated speed all the time but it depends on how far you are from the telus tower.. so if you live close to it you will get a steady speed all the time. As for Shaw, you are sharing the network with everyone in your neighborhood and during rush hours your speed will go down just like everyone else. However, If you have shaw it doesn’t matter how far you are from the shaw tower.

i mean i wanna know techinical reason 　

dsl is done over phone lines and phone lines are direct connection to the server. Shaw connection is done over the coaxial cable wires and these wires from every home and building end up meeting in a box (the recommended is 150 connection per drop box but shaw sometimes connects up to 300 people in busy neighborhoods)in each neighborhood and connect from there to the fiber-optic line all the way to the server. so more people being online in one neighborhood means more people sharing the connection to the server over the same wire. 　

そりゃ、DSLよりケーブルの方が一般に速度UPでしょ。
この国って、いわゆる日本で言う光ファイバーというインターネット接続方法はあるんですかね？
日本の場合、ダイヤルアップ、ADSL、ケーブル、光って感じに分けられるけど、こちらはどうなんですかね。 　

　日本でいう「光」をTELUSがサービス開始すると聞きました。
　ケーブルがいいかDSLがいいかは、地域にも寄りますよ。
　うちはSHAWのHighSpeedが遅すぎてダメだったのでTELUSに変えました。変えてから良好です。

　予断ですが、TELUS TVも始まったし、SHAWはおされ気味かもしれませんね。

カナダではそうなんですか？
日本の場合、"一般"にはケーブルの方が速いですからね。
（都合よく収容局付近に住んでないので、DSLなら伝送損失激しいですよねｗｗ。）
やっぱりカナダでは日本で言う光はまだこれからなんですね。 　

　SHAWは使いすぎると回線切られるみたいです。SHAWを使用している友人が切られました。理由は使いすぎってことらしいです。SHAWって、利用制限があるんですっけ？
　TELUSは利用制限ないですよね。(Useageはチェックされていますけど) 　

カナダにも「光」あります。

↑　それならshawの一番高いのもそうじゃない？カナダ最速って言ってるよ。光とは思えないけど。しかも25M。
