次期国連事務総長（現アナン氏引退後）は韓国の方です。
先月決まった際のニュースを聞き間違えたのか？と思っていたが。
名誉職と言うより大変な任務ですね、
アフガニスタンや北朝鮮問題もあるし。

過って日本人がその名誉職についたことあるのかな？
一歩先を越されたのかな。 　

国連事務総長は、先進国からは選出されないもしくは立候補出来ないので、日本人がなることはありません。 　

上記(Res.2)の情報は見つかりませんでした。安全保障理事会の推薦の上で、アッセンブリのメンバーがアポイント（指名）するのです。いい加減な情報は自粛して下さい。

How is the Secretary-General appointed?

The Secretary-General is appointed by the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Security Council. The Secretary-General’s selection is therefore subject to the veto of any of the five permanent members of the Security Council.

Although there is technically no limit to the number of five-year terms a Secretary-General may serve, none so far has held office for more than two terms. Mr. Kofi Annan, the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations, will leave office on the 31st December 2006 when his second term expires.

で、日本は常任理事国になりたいから両方なりたいとは言えないとかどうのと読んだ覚えがある。
