Seafood sales off the dock in Horseshoe Bay

once again! Skipper Otto’s will be at the Horseshoe Bay Farmers’
and Artisan Market this Thursday during regular
Market hours of 4-7pm, and again in September.

Skipper Ottos is a community supported fishery (CSF) - the first in
Canada, and the second in the world. They provide high quality, fresh,
sustainable, local fish and seafood at a reasonable price straight from
the fishers. It has now grown to support 15 fishermen and to offer
halibut, tuna, spot prawns, and crab, as well as a large variety of
salmon fillets and smoked/canned items. Like community supported
agriculture, you become a member by buying in at the beginning of the
season to receive a share of premium, wild, local, and sustainably caught
seafood. Members have boat-to-fork transparency, knowing how, when, where

But you don’t have to be a member to purchase Skipper Otto’s fish at
farmers’ markets, and there should be lots of fresh seafood available on
Thursday. I hope you’ll come out and support this really terrific local
business that is so good for our health, our community and our
environment!! And showing our support will keep them coming back to
Horseshoe Bay more often, so please spread the word….

ウニやサーモン買った場合どの位の値段なんですかね？

近くなのですが、今年がはじめてでないでしょうか。
果物、野菜類は、春から見かけていましたが。
わたし自身は長年ステイ−ブストンに月に１度程度ゆきます。
ボートの数も１０隻位かな、種類も豊富だし、しかも値段も手頃でですよね！

今回ここホーシューベイの値段は、少々高めではないでしょうか！（あくまでも推察ですが）！

ただ、ステイ−ブストンにはガソリン代が約２０ドル、それに軽い食事代と（約２０ドル）が嵩みます。

注：　どうしても魚類の水こぼれに、余分のビニール袋などの持参をお勧めします。
