Hiring for: ​1 staff for our coffee & gift shop
​1 staff for our gift & convenience store
Start Date: ​Immediately

We are looking for customer-oriented, friendly and dynamic individuals to join our team.
Our shop is located in beautiful Kananaskis Village, near the Nakiska ski hill, where tourists and locals come to enjoy the view of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. If you are people-oriented, a great team worker, love to go above-and-beyond for our guests, keen on details and work effectively and flexibly with minimal supervision, then you are who we are looking for! We operate in a friendly, team-oriented, English speaking environment. Café/restaurant or retail experience is preferred, but training will be provided.

Job Description:

For the gift shop:
• Cashier responsibilities
• Receiving and processing shipments
• Stocking of items sold
• Taking care of the overall gift shop appearance such as cleaning, displaying items, etc.

For the coffee shop
• Sandwich-making
• Making specialty coffees and drinks
• Cashier responsibilities
• Order taking
• Cooking and Kitchen preparation
• Cleaning and dishwashing

Qualifications, Skills and Job Requirements:
• Basic understanding of the use of Excel spreadsheets and email programs
• Legal working status in Canada (Canadian citizen, Canadian landed immigrant or person in possession of a valid, open Canadian work permit (please provide expiry date))
• Spoken English language capabilities

Wages and Benefits:
• Starting wage is $16.00 per hour (including $1 tip payout per hour)
• 37.5 hours of work per week for full time staff (7.5 hours per day plus .5 hour break)
• Staff discounts on store purchases (except on select items such as cigarettes, stamps, medicines)
• Access to staff accommodations at $13.33 per day per person (shared room with 1-2 roommates) including Free Wifi
• Access to staff cafeteria at reasonable price
