4月1日から5月15日、若しくは7月1日から8月15日の間Saturna Islandにあるファームで働いてくれる方を募集中！
期間は2週間滞在から受け付けます。
大変な時期で働けない方も、ここでなら美味しいお料理も沢山食べることができますし、本当に皆さん心優しい方達です。
Saturna Island（サトゥーナ島）はバンクーバーとバンクーバー島の間にあるGulf Islands（ガルフ諸島）のひとつで、人口わずか350人ほどの、小さく美しい島です。
※ガルフ諸島には他にソルトスプリング島、ペンダー島などがあります。
バンクーバーのフェリー乗り場からサトゥーナ島までは、最短2時間でいけます。
島生活が初めてという方も、ファームで働くのが初めてという方もウェルカム！ここではwork exchangeという形をとっていますので、お給料は発生しません。

お仕事をする代わりに、寝る場所や食事を与えてもらえます。滞在中はほとんどお金をかけることなく、大自然の中でオーガニックライフと英語環境を楽しむことが出来ます。

また、期間についても長期間や数週間などフレキシブルに対応してくれますよ！
作業時間：5時間 / 日　
(午前9〜12時、午後1〜3時)、週休5日
作業内容：
畑とグリーンハウスの手入れ(野菜の種まき・収穫、土壌の準備など）牛のお世話、建物の修理(ペンキ塗りやコンクリート作業、フェンスの修理の手伝いなど)
必要人数：
1人 または 2人
作業服や作業に必要なものは全て貸してもらうことができます。また、難しくて出来ないような仕事はほとんどありません。ファームでの作業時間は一日5時間ですが、他に夕食の支度や片付けなど、

家の中でも簡単なヘルプをお願いされると思います。そういったことも楽しく出来る方だと良いかもしれません。
ホストは、親日家のBillと料理好きのFloraです。BillとFloraは、これまで100人以上の日本人を受け入れています。英語に自信がもてない方にもわかりやすく話してくれ、仕事内容もクリアに説明してくれます。

過去にはここの生活を気に入って、9カ月間も滞在する人や、島を離れた後でもホストに会いに日本から来る人もいました。ホストと話すことで英語力が伸びた人は数知れずです。
寝る場所として、ドミトリーにある個人部屋を使わせてもらえます。シャワーやトイレは共同です。
Wi-Fiは部屋の中では使えませんが、隣にあるBillとFloraの家のポーチで使えます。
徒歩5分でプライベートビーチ(夏は泳げます、スイミングスーツ貸出可、ウニ等が採れます)がありますし、ハイキング、サイクリング(自転車を貸してくれます)、フィッシング(Billはボートでルアーフィッシングに行ったり、

エビやカニを採りに連れていってくれますし、そこではアザラシや運が良ければシャチが見れます)などができます。ハイキングコースでは途中で美しいぶどう畑や海に浮かぶ島々など、絶景を見られます。
日によっては、島の人たちと交流できるローカルアクティビティもあります。みなさんとてもフレンドリーです。

Saturna Island is one of the Gulf Islands between Vancouver and Vancouver Island, a small and beautiful island with a population of only 350 people.
* The Gulf Islands also include Salt Spring Island and Pender Island.
It takes a minimum of 2 hours from Vancouver's ferry terminal to Saturna Island.
Welcome to those who are new to island life and those who are new to working at a farm! Since it is in the form of work exchange here, no salary will be incurred. Instead of working, you will be given a place to sleep and a meal.

During your stay, you can enjoy an organic life and an English environment in the wilderness with almost no expense. In addition, it will respond flexibly to a long period or several weeks!
Working time: 5 hours / day　
(9 am to 12 pm, 1 pm to 3 pm), 2 days a week
Work content:
Care of fields and green house (sowing and harvesting of vegetables, preparation of soil, etc.) Caring for cows, building Repairs (painting, concrete work, helping with fence repairs, etc.)
Number of people required:
1 or 2
You can rent work clothes and everything you need for the work. Also, there are few jobs that are difficult and impossible to do. I work 5 hours a day on the farm, but I'd also like to ask for some simple help at home, such as preparing and cleaning up dinner.

It may be good if you can enjoy such things.
The hosts are Bill, a pro-Japanese family, and Flora, a culinary enthusiast. Bill and Flora have accepted more than 100 Japanese people so far. Even those who are not confident in English can speak in an easy-to-understand manner and explain their work clearly.

In the past, some people liked the life here and stayed there for nine months, while others came from Japan to meet their hosts even after leaving the island. There are countless people who have improved their English skills by talking to their hosts.
You can use a private room in the dormitory as a place to sleep. Showers and toilets are shared.
Wi-Fi isn't available in the room, but it's available on the porch of the neighboring Bill and Flora homes.
A 5-minute walk to the private beach (you can swim in the summer, you can rent swimming suits, sea urchins, etc.), hiking, biking (renting a bicycle), fishing (Bill goes to lure fishing by boat) ,

They will take you to pick shrimp and crabs, where you can see seals and killer whales if you are lucky). On the hiking trail, you can see beautiful vineyards and islands floating in the sea.
Depending on the day, there are also local activities where you can interact with the islanders. Everyone is very friendly.
We are currently looking for people who can stay for more than 2 weeks after October 1st.
