Canadian lady (hospital secretary), seeking responsible, friendly, non-smoking female Japanese sharemate in beautiful Nanaimo, B.C., Canada.
I have a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment just 5 minutes walk from the beautiful harbor seawall, downtown shops, cafes etc.
The apartment is just a 10 minute bus ride to Vancouver Island University ESL International School.
The bus stop is at the end of the street, and bus transportation is good all over Nanaimo, especially to the University.
I have a wonderful, friendly, orange and white cat named "Charlie" who really enjoys people a lot.
My sharemate will have her own private bedroom with a large closet and nice furniture. She will also have a full private bathroom with bathtub and shower. There’s a nice balcony with a small view of the ocean and seaside park nearby.
I have many years experience with homestay students and sharemates. I have lived in several foreign countries myself and understand what it is like to live abroad.
I am very happy to help with English conversation, and to share enjoyable "adventures" and trips around Nanaimo and Vancouver Island.
The room is available from January 1, 2009. All the furniture, bed linen, towels, kitchen dishes, TV etc. are included.
The sharemate would buy her own food and cook it any time. Her friends would be very welcome in the apartment.
The rent is $500 per month, including wireless internet connection to sharemate’s own laptop.
Without an internet connection the rent would be $480 per month.
Minimum stay of two months, with longer stay preferred (up to one year), if sharemate is compatible.
