Canadian lady (with friendly cat) seeking responsible, friendly, non-smoking female Japanese sharemate for lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in Nanaimo, B.C., Canada (on Vancouver Island).
Just five minutes walk from beautiful seawall and harborfront shops, cafes, galleries etc. Five minutes walk from downtown Nanaimo, and only 10-15 minutes by bus to Vancouver Island University ESL International School (formerly Malaspina College).
Charlie (my 14 year old orange and white cat) needs a sharemate who loves and enjoys animals. He’s very friendly and really enjoys people a lot!
Have many years experience with Japanese homestay students and sharemates. Very happy to help with English conversation, and enjoyable outings around Nanaimo and Vancouver Island.

Sharemate will have a lovely private bedroom, and a full private bathroom with bathtub and shower. There’s a nice balcony with a (small) view of the ocean and beautiful seaside park nearby. The bus stop is at the end of the block, and bus transportation is good all over Nanaimo.
Only 2 hours to Victoria by car or bus, and 1 1/2 hours to Vancouver by ferry. Nanaimo is a friendly, medium sized city in a perfect location in the middle of Vancouver Island on the eastern coast. Spectacular scenery on the whole island, and easy access to Vancouver and all the beautiful west coast of B.C.

Room rent is $500 per month (buying and cooking own food in nice large kitchen). Long term sharemate preferred (minimum stay 3 months).
