Toronto International Conference/Seminar Support (part time)

LSI is an international business consulting company which is experiencing rapid growth due to high demand world-wide. LSI’s focus includes three primary sectors: 1) Consulting Services 2) Consulting Strategy and 3) Consulting Systems.

We are looking for general event support person to work part time during the conferences and seminars. As multiple events are organized between now and Dec of 2008, we are looking for several people in different cities. Please note that this is not a permanent position but could lead to permanent part time position.

In particular, we require 8 to 12 people for the major international Lean Conference to be held in Toronto in October (www.ame.org)

Your primary task to provide workshop/seminar support, such as:

- Assisting with setup and preparation of conferences and seminars
- taking notes and minutes
- creating documents in words, excel, or powerpoint
- correspondents with corporate clients
- discussion with hotels, restaurant, to confirm details
- general marketing support during the sessions
- assisting instructors and coaches for admin work

You will be paid $112 per day or approx $14 per hour depending on your qualifications. We are looking for local people in Toronto for the specified dates as shown. You will have an opportunity to network with business leaders and executives. All sessions are conducted in English.

We are looking for on-site part time Conference Support for the following days:

Sep 9 to 12 Toronto – 1 person, small conference
Sep 29 to Oct 3 Toronto – 1 person, small conference
Oct 19 to 20 Toronto – major conference; we are looking for 8 to 12 people for an international conference support (see www.ame.org under Toronto Oct lean conference for information)
Oct 28 to 31 Toronto – 1 to 2 people –small conference

Please note that Toronto interview will be conducted on July 15th and 16th in Toronto.

As senior executives of major corporations are involved, we ask for people with previous business experience and with good to excellent English.

Position: Part time Event/Conference Support

Requirements: Bilingual (Japanese and English); must be able to speak, write and read good English and Japanese

Education: College or University degree

Experience: One (1) or more year of general business experience, including experience with Microsoft Office, general administration, and general business.

Status in Canada: you must be able to work in Canada (permanent residence or working permit/working holiday VISA)

There will be on-the-job training initially regardless of the position within our company. Our work focus primarily on business strategy, project implementation, and specialized Toyota-style coaching.

Our conferences are typically held in hotels/conference centers or at corporate locations.

Our work is conducted in both English and Japanese. LSI (Lean Sensei International) has one of the deepest experiences in this field.
