I got a job offer and the employer is applying for a LMO. Is it illegal to work(volunteer) at the company during the period of this application even though I won’t get payed?

It is going to be illegal.
Since the position is able to making money, you are not allow to work as volunteer. Other people can make money of your position.

Is it also illegal to go to the office for the purpose of learning how the company works, or what I’m supposed to do?
