I have a work permit right now and I am going to apply to re-new it before it is expired. Since I work with young children, I had Immigration Medical Examination last time I applied. Do I need the examination every time I apply for work permit? If anybody knows about it, please help me!!

When I asked CIC office about it, they said I have to take a medical exam for each application to CIC. For example, I took a medical for applying a work permit. This result is valid for a year only for this application. I have to take another medical for a permanent resident visa application.In your case, you are applying a new visa even though it’s renewing, so I guess you have to take another one.You can call CIC call center to confirm this information.Good luck!
