Prado Café is looking for a Kitchen Team member at our Commissary location at 4208 Fraser street. We are looking for full-time help.

You are an enthusiastic, friendly team-player who has worked in a café or in any food service role. As long as you are a hard worker willing to learn, we provide you with the training and support you to excel in your role all along.

Our menu is fairly simple and a great place to start for people who are just getting into the cooking/baking field. That being said, the job is not boring! You will be working in a fast-paced environment where your multitasking skills will be a great asset. You understand the importance of preparing and presenting the food in an appealing way for our guests.

Required attributes:

Be fast and efficient with an eye for detail
Be mature and confident when working alone
Have good problem solving skills

Your responsibilities are:

Preparing ingredients for sandwiches throughout the day. Sandwiches are pre-made at our Commissary and delivered to all of our Prado locations daily. Preparations include: Cutting breads/vegetables, making dressings/spreads/sauces/spice mix, portioning prepared ingredients for sandwiches
Helping with sandwich making, dating and packing daily orders for deliveries to other locations.
Some rafting and Preparing baking goods, ensuring each baked product meets quality requirements.
Dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning
Receiving goods from suppliers (dating, rotating and putting away)
Supporting the Kitchen team as needed

Wage:
$16.50 per hour plus tips

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:
Monday to Friday preferably fulltime but we may have opening shifts for mid day shifts.

Experience:

Cooking/baking: 1 year is a bonus.
