FRONT END RETAIL ASSISTANT

Popular Vancouver bakery located in the heart of Granville Island is currently in need of a Front End Retail Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for a friendly, people-oriented individual who excels in ensuring professional and courteous customer service while maintaining attractive displays, cash register procedures, packing and presentation of bakery goods. Creativity and a love for what you do is a must.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide excellent customer service including prompt responses to customer inquiries and timely service in a busy retail bakery setting.
Communicate with supervisor and follow all instructions, procedures and tasks to ensure all specifications are met.
Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines to meet company health requirements
Ensures clean, safe and well-maintained working environment including wiping down counters, shelving, display cases and as needed, sweeping/mopping of floor area.
Work effectively with others and demonstrate strong communication skills including ability to problem solve and work independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clean and organized work area.
Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Big Happy Smile and Warm hospitality spirit
Positive attitude, nice behavior, good organizational skills, and a strong sense of urgency.
Good attendance, Accurate and punctual for arriving
Able to speak, read and write basic English required.
Customer services experience an asset.
Able to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment.

· Occasional lifting of between 20-50 lbs.

Shift:

Full time position (40hrs)

Compensation: Extend medical and dental Benefits

Open to Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents and working permit only
