Our technology also powers Branded Editions (BE) - a white-label solution that enables publishers to deliver their digital content in interactive ways. BE allows them to build a customizable platform that supports a wide range of revenue opportunities.
We have a full-time opportunity for a Manager, Branded Editions to join our Branded Editions team.

As part of the Branded Editions (BE) team, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with BE partners. This includes ongoing daily communication with the publisher, management of web and app products, product operations and product upgrades. You will be engaged with publishers to establish creative ways to increase business growth more effectively. A strong technical aptitude is required, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills in order to effectively support BE partners. This is a highly collaborative role deeply involved with our partners and with multiple internal teams such as content, product, sales and marketing, that requires strong interpersonal skills.
This role is an integral part of our business, and you will help shape the future of PressReader’s content publishing growth that will focus on new customer acquisition and ongoing customer success.

In this role, you will:
Operations and Publisher Support:
• Own relationships with assigned BE partners, managing all aspects of their digital edition’s product
• Use critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve platform or partner issues in the operations of their BE product, or as it relates to the publisher partnership overall
• Manage web and apps including operational changes requested by the publisher or needed by platform changes
• Upgrade web and apps to latest versions applicable to client, or as operating systems require
• Contribute to internal efforts to improve the BE platform, Hub, and other tools used to build, operate and deliver BE products
• Contribute feedback, ideas and suggestions to BE Product Lead, in an effort to drive BE product evolution

Marketing + Sales Support:
• Engage with BE team to learn and compile best practices in sales and marketing efforts completed by BE partners across the globe
• Share and demonstrate examples of best practices, as requested by BE partners, that will drive user engagement, increase subscription or individual sales, build awareness of the publisher brand, and showcase marketing concepts that have been used successfully by other partners that may be applicable.
• Participate in broader Content Group meetings and stay engaged with the publishing industry generally to understand trends that may be applicable to BE partners.

Administrative Responsibilities:
• Provide accounts receivable support, as required
• Support BE Sales and/or Launch team, as required

You are a great fit if you have:
• 1 to 3 years of working experience either in product or account management
• Complete fluency in Japanese, Chinese or French both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
• Proficiency in MS Office
• An open-minded approach and seek & embrace new learnings
• A strong analytical and organizational skills
• An emphatic understanding and a team player spirit
• A creative mind and solid problem-solving skills
• An ability to adapt to a multi-cultural environment
• The ability to work with tight deadlines
• A Bachelor’s Degree

Bonus points if you:
• Have proficiency in any other languages
• Have experience in the publishing industry
• Have a strong interest in the technology sector

This role is a full-time position based in our Richmond, BC office. Working from home is available during the Covid pandemic and we are actively considering and trialling hybrid solutions post-pandemic.
