ＡＢＡセラピスト（Behaviour Interventionist）の方を募集しています。

ポジションはパートタイムです。ＡＢＡセラピストの方には、コンサルタントが書いた応用行動学に基づくプログラムを１：１で自閉症をもつお子さんに対して実施していただく他、月１のチームミーティングに参加していただきます。ご家族の家に訪問する形のホームセラピーになります。

１セッションあたり２時間になります。セッション中はデータをとりながら、子供に机上や遊びの中で、社会スキルや遊びのスキル、またコミュニケーションスキルなどの必要なスキルを教えていただきます。トレーニングはこちらで提供いたします。

ABA(応用行動学）では、ご褒美などをつかって遊びの中や机で勉強しながらコミュニケーションスキル、セルフケアなどの適切な行動を伸ばしていきます。ABAのやり方に共感できない方はご応募はご遠慮ください。

現在、New Westminster のとあるSkytrain駅付近で日本語でセラピーをしてくださる方を募集しています。水曜・金曜両日の１０−１２時あるいは１５−１９時の中から２時間働いてくださるかたを募集しています。場所の詳細はお尋ねください。

時給：１７ドル以上。経験による。
契約形態はご家族とのコントラクトになります。

Behaviour Interventionist Position Available

We are looking to hire a part-time Behaviour Interventionist to work with children diagnosed with Autism. The position will require to you assist the child in the home and/or childcare setting(s). You will be working under the supervision of board Certified Behaviour Analyst(s) to implement an intervention program based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis.

During your sessions, you will be engaging the child in fun activities, while teaching a variety of skills, such as communication skills, social skills, play skills, and motor skills. You will be expected to collect data, and attend monthly team meetings. You will receive ongoing training from the Behaviour Consultant(s). There will also be opportunities to work with additional families.

Burnaby Springer and Lougheed Hwy (Capitol Hill)
• 5 year old child
• This is a unique position where you will be working with a child who has ASD as well and Rett's syndrome
• Must be physically capable and ready to assist her with gross motor skills such as sitting up and walking
• The child's method of communication is using an Eye Gaze device. This would be particularly interesting for individuals interested in AAC
• Sessions days are very flexible and can be weekdays afterschool and/or weekends

North Surrey or Virtual
• 9 year old child
• Twice a week (1.5-2 hours per session)
• Weekdays afterschool
• Family is very flexible with scheduling
• Working on academics and self-regulation

Burnaby (Close to Cariboo Hill Secondary School)
• 11 year old child
• Looking for 2 sessions per week, 2 hours per session
• Sessions will be afterschool
• Family is flexible with scheduling
• Working on learning mindfulness and social skills
• Sessions will be in the home setting

Burnaby (Close to Edmonds Community Centre)
• 4 year old child
• Looking for 2-3 sessions per week in the morning, 2 hours per session
• Family is flexible with scheduling
• Working primarily on language development and play skills
• Sessions may be at daycare or in the home setting

Burnaby (Kingsway and Griffiths Ave area)
• 3 year old child
• Looking for 2 sessions per week, 2 hours per session
• Twice a week on weekdays, except Mon and Wed 12-3:30pm
• Sessions will be in the home setting

Burnaby (Burnaby Mountain area)
• 4 year old child
• Looking for 2-5 sessions per week, 2 hours per session
• Weekdays
• Sessions will be in the daycare setting

Burnaby (Deer Lake area)
• 4 year old child
• Looking for 2-5 sessions per week, 2 hours per session
• Weekdays or Weekends
• Sessions will be in the home setting

Vancouver (Joyce area)
• 2 sessions per week (3 to 5 hours per week)
• Schedule is flexible and can be chosen by the BI each week , within parameters:
• Weekdays: 3:00 to 6:00pm - max 1.5 hour session. Possible 2 hr, but need to discuss further in person.
• Weekends: anytime except Saturday mornings (until Dec 11) - 2 to 3 hour session
• If interested, option to do more sessions on Pro D days or winter/spring break.
• Locations:
• Mom's: near Boundary & E 29th, Vancouver
• Dad's: near Canada Way & Burris, Burnaby
• Prefer applicant who is able to work at either location, but, possible to schedule sessions only at preferred location.

Compensation: 17-25 per hour or possibly more depending on experience. If interested please respond with your resume, availability and which family (or families) you would be interested in working with.

Qualifications:

❖ Background in related field is an asset (e.g. psychology, education, speech and language pathology)
❖ Experience working with children and/or children with autism preferred
❖ Minimum 19 years of age
❖ Clear criminal record check completed within last 12 months or you are willing to get it done.
❖ One year commitment (negotiable)
