Position Job Title: Assistant Director of International Admissions

Location: Designated Campus (Vancouver/Downtown)

Reports To: Director of International Admissions



JOB SUMMARY



The purpose of the Assistant Director of International Admissions is to promote and sell the programs of the School to potential international students and ensure the application is complete and in full compliance with all regulatory requirements. Under general direction, the Assistant Director of International Admissions sells programs by responding to inquiries from potential international students agencies to meet or exceed the School’s enrollment targets each month.

JOB PROFILE



Specifically, the International Assistant Director of Admission will be responsible for:



-Providing sales and product information on programs and offerings to potential students and overseas agents

-Maintaining records to contribute to the administrative functions of the campuses

-Achieving monthly and annual sales targets

-Other related duties as assigned



SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES



Assistant Director of International Admissions will be responsible for the following, as well as other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the College:



1. Providing sales and product information on programs and offerings such as:

- Responding to all inquiries by email, text message, telephone, and walk-in inquiries from potential students; promoting the programs and services of the School.

- Interviewing potential students to explore their background and interests. Responsible for identifying potential student’s individual career goals and providing advice on appropriate programs to meet their goals.

- Overseeing each enrolled student closely by employing motivational strategies to ensure that the student starts on the defined date.

- Tracking and follow-up on potential leads and provide motivation and encouragement to potential students as appropriate.

- Contacting agents and other educational institutions to promote the School and register students into various programs.



2. Maintaining records to contribute to the administrative functions of the campuses such as:

- Completing enrollment of new students, including related paperwork and providing initial information on payment options.

-Ensuring all student documentation and files are complete, including completion of prerequisites to enable a timely program start.

- Tracking and reporting on weekly activities (i.e., leads, appointments, interviews, and enrollment).

- Following up on cancellations.



3. Achieving monthly and annual sales targets such as:

- Maintaining a standard of Enroll/Start ratio above 80% with post-enrollment activities including maintaining contact and follow up with students to keep them engaged.



4. May be assigned other related duties such as:

- Planning and participating in campus events such as Open Houses, Information Sessions, Trade Shows, Mall Booths, etc.



POSITION REQUIREMENTS



To be successful in the Assistant Director of International Admissions position, individuals must be committed to developing, maintaining and demonstrating the following.



Education and Experience:

- Two years diploma in professional sales training with a preference for a Bachelor's degree.

- A minimum of one year sales performance history in international student recruitment, private post-secondary student recruitment, immigration consultancy, or similar.

- Fluency in Japanese and English.



Competencies:

- Proven sales performance history.

- Extraverted personality.

- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and interact with all individuals with integrity, empathy, and sincerity.

- Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

- Ability to manage stress and thrive in often demanding situations.

- Proven self-starter and problem solver.

- Must be deadline driven and goal-oriented.

- A positive attitude and customer-focused approach.

- Ability to act with tact, good judgment, and discretion.

- Proficient in standard Microsoft applications and productivity tools.

- Professional ethic work and exemplary behavior while respecting provincial and federal regulations.

- Preference may be given to candidates with CRM experience.

- Preference may be given to candidates with a second language in Korean



Provisos:

- International travel from time to time to promote the schools will be required.

- Willingness to work hours in excess of regular shift as required.

- Willingness to be available to work days, evenings and weekends as per work schedule provided by the Campus Director and/or DOA.
