We are looking for an organized and detail oriented Japanese/English Bilingual Cloud Operations Specialist to join our global 24/7/365 Amazon Web Services (AWS) Operations Support team with the mission to maintain and enhance the highly available cloud environment for our clients in Japan. As a member of Operations team, your role is to provide support to our customers to ensure their service availability and enable good response time for their requests, deploying AWS cloud platform.
Responsibilities
-Perform shift coverage managing AWS Cloud Platform for our customers following standard operating procedures and policies (The OJT will be provided by the Company).
-Fulfill incident requests from customers by identifying the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, following up relevant internal teams to ensure resolution and also proactively monitoring for possible issues.
-Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-Working knowledge of Japanese language.
-Ability to communicate well at all levels.
-Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimum supervision.
-Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
-Legally authorized to work in Canada.
-Relevant training in Computing or 2+ years equivalent work experience is a plus
-Working knowledge of web applications and basic web development experience is a plus.
-Basic System Administration experience is a plus.
-Prior experience in Technical Support is a plus.
Work Conditions
-This is a one-year maternity leave replacement contract position with possibility of extension.
-Extended medical benefits available upon completion of a 3-months probation.
-A successful candidate will be required to take AWS Certification Exam within first 6 months of employment.
-Shift schedule will require working weekends and may require office work outside of standard business hours. The teams liaise with colleagues across 2 other time zones.
-35 hours per week.
