FRONT END RETAIL ASSISTANT

Busy Vancouver bakery located in the heart of Granville Island is currently in need of a Front End Retail Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for a friendly, people-oriented individual who excels in ensuring professional and courteous customer service while maintaining attractive displays, cash register procedures, packing and presentation of bakery goods. Creativity and a love for what you do is a must.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide excellent customer service including prompt responses to customer inquiries and timely service in a busy retail bakery setting.
• Communicate with supervisor and follow all instructions, procedures and tasks to ensure all specifications are met.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines to meet company health requirements
• Ensures clean, safe and well-maintained working environment including wiping down counters, shelving, display cases and as needed, sweeping/mopping of floor area.
• Work effectively with others and demonstrate strong communication skills including ability to problem solve and work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clean and organized work area.
• Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong sense of urgency.
• Able to speak, read and write basic English required.
• Customer service experience an asset.
• Able to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment.
• Occasional lifting of between 20-50 lbs.

Flexible Working Hours: 11:00AM – 7:30PM including occasional weekends
Full Time/Part Time Positions Available
Compensation: $14.00 - $17.00/hr + Benefits
