Job Summary for Community Support Worker (Coquitlam)

This position provides a great learning experience for you to work one-on-one with a young, exceptional lady who lives in her own home and is involved in many community activities. You will be part of her amazing 24-hour Dream Team who support her both in her home and in many outside activities to enjoy a very rich, rewarding life. Objectives are to enhance her life skills, communication abilities, and social engagements.

You will need to be a non-smoker, calm, upbeat, with lots of stamina and patience. Some college or university is preferred. Good communication skills in English is mandatory. She has mild autism as well as cognitive disabilities and requires FEMALE staff.

Other requirements: criminal record check, first aid with CPR, tuberculin test, doctor's note, and a good driving record. Car and client-specific training will be provided. No union dues will be deducted.

This position is for a motivated Community Support Worker to work Mondays to Fridays from 3:30 - 9:30pm and is available for training now. We are hoping for a stable, long-term commitment for this special lady.
