We are a grooming shop located in Kitsilano/West End seeking a Bather/Grooming Assistant to join our team!

We are very serious about what we do and are looking for someone who truly loves animals.

You will be responsible for care and well-being of the animals at our facility. The position first starts part-time with possibility of full time opportunity.

＊Responsibilities:

‧ Bathe dogs in preparation for grooming.
‧ De-shed and brush coat to remove mats and dead fur.
‧ Wash dogs, using designated pet shampoo and repeat process until dogs are clean.
‧ Dry dogs, using towel and electric drier.
‧ May trim and shape dogs' coat and clip toenails, using scissors and clippers.
‧ Greet clients and bring dogs into the grooming area.
‧ Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
‧ Capable of handling dogs of all sizes and breeds.
‧ Assist groomer with restraining, holding, and/or lifting an animal.

＊Qualifications:

‧ Grooming experience is preferred, but will consider the right candidate out of grooming school or an experienced dog handler.
‧ Passion and patience to work with animals.
‧ Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner.
‧ A team player.
‧ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
‧ Punctual, responsible, and self-motivated.
‧ Frequently stoop and lift or move up to 50-100 pounds.

＊Compensation:
Hourly rate $12 and up depending on the experience and abilities. Paid bi-weekly.

＊Hours: Preferably Saturdays & Sundays, and flexible weekday hours.

＊We do not do anal glands and groom dogs only. No contact with cats.
