Junior Interior Designer
Canadoo Enterprises Inc. - Burnaby, BC
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to establish a career in interior design. We, Canadoo Enterprises Inc., are Vancouver-based general contractor providing quality services in new home, residential and commercial renovation, office and restaurants.
In this role, as an interior designer, you will create a conceptual design, drawing and material specification on assigned new and renovation projects. Our ideal candidate must be a team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Key duties
• Interior design for residential and commercial renovation, office and restaurant projects
• Develop conceptual design, drawing, material specification, project estimate and schedule
• Specify materials and furnishings: lighting, wall finishes, flooring, and cabinetry
• Assist clients with material selections and design development
• Arrange vendor and construction material delivery for projects
Knowledge & skills
• Solid knowledge/experience in interior design and furnishings is an asset
• Proficient with Auto CAD, sketch-up and associated rendering plug-ins
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Understanding Japanese culture is an asset
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken) advanced in Japanese (spoken) is must
• Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is asset
• BC Driver’s License
