Japanese speaking Nanny for toddler in Vancouver (Broadway & Alma) - 40 hours/wk, $15 per/hr

Hi there,

We are a happy household living in Vancouver West Point Grey area (Broadway and Alma). We have a lovely almost 3 year old boy and are looking for a bilingual Nanny. Our preferred hiring language is Japanese or French. The position starts as soon as possible with the initial contract being 3 months which can be extended for the whole of 2016.

Details:
-live out nanny
-wiling to teach and only speak their native language to toddler
-must love children and have experience with babies to toddlers
-should be physically fit. May have to lift toddler from stroller to bed if sleeping
-40 hours per weeks: typical day might be 8:00 am to 4:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am to 2:00pm on Friday
-time is split approximately 50% as nanny, 50% doing household items. The current typical day is mornings are nanny items and afternoon household items but subject to changes
-nanny items include: teaching a foreign language, reading, playing, building things, arts and crafts, taking him to nearby activities (swimming, gymnastics, art, music, library, etc., in mornings), taking the child to preschool in early afternoon
-household items include: cleaning, laundry, shopping (groceries, dollar store), errands (going to library to get books, cleaners), dishes, occasional small jobs in garden or house, cooking, filing, etc.

Other:
-occasionally will require driving the car short distances . Must have valid drivers’ license
-no criminal record, has police background check
-very clean and experience cleaning
-non smoker
-has visa to work in Canada
-if the family has additional child can handle two children. Experience with babies.
-ability to follow directions
-references from previous employer
-bring your own lunch
-First Aid / CPR qualifications a plus
-willing to get government recommended immunization shots (influenza)
-our current nanny who is leaving has worked for us for approximately 2.5 years and is willing to train

Compensation:
-depends on experience, approx $15 per hour
-small bonus if child improves significantly in foreign language
