Guu Richmond (located inside Aberdeen Centre) is looking for a kitchen helper available part time.

Duties include assisting with prep and cooking Japanese izakaya cuisine, dishwashing, and clean up.

- Must be a strong employee who is able to perform these tasks while under pressure
- Have a strong passion for preparing quality foods and put the customer's experience first
- Be able to work as a team with colleagues but also able to work responsibly by oneself
- You must be able to speak fluent English; also being able to speak Japanese is an asset, but not required
- You must have Food Safe Lvl 1 and follow kitchen safety guidelines
- Kitchen experience is not a requirement and we are happy to provide training.

This position will be a great opportunity for anyone wanting to learn more about Japanese cuisine as you will have the chance to assist with the creation of sushi, preparing traditional dishes, filleting whole fish, and being able to express yourself creatively in the kitchen.

Two positions are available: lunch 10am - 3pm, or dinner 4pm - 10pm, 3 days a week. Compensation is $10.25 plus tips (usually $4-5 per hour).

We are also looking for servers - experience is not required and training will be provided if needed. Part time positions available for lunch and dinner, 3 days a week: 12pm-3pm or 5pm-9pm. Compensation is $9.00 plus tips. You must have Serving It Right certification. Must be friendly, easy to talk to, have a good attitude and be responsible. You should also be good at promoting and selling food and beverages.
