RAJIO JAPANESE PUBLIC HOUSE is the first and the only Izakaya in Vancouver specializing in Osaka style Kushikatsu. Rajio operates two award-winning sister locations, Kingyo Izakaya on Denman Street and Suika Snackbar on West Broadway. We are currently preparing to open our first Suika location in Seattle.
KUSHIKATSU is a deep-fried, lightly panko-breaded kebab with a dipping sauce, popular with taverns in Osaka. Locals in Osaka are generally very sociable and love to mingle and share drinks with strangers in a bar or Izakaya. Rajio focuses on recreating this friendly atmosphere and encouraging customers to experience this culture.
RAJIO offers variety of authentic tapas-style dishes along with Kushikatsu, Premium Sake, and a variety of Japanese Beers. The atmosphere is absolutely boisterous and upbeat with everyone shouting in Japanese. Service is warm but very fast paced.
SERVER/HOST, HOSTESS/BARTENDER positions require dedication to entertain/please customers, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail. Must be highly motivated, sales oriented, and enthusiastic. Interest in Japanese culture and willingness to learn Japanese language are assets. You will be working with a trainer during 2-4 weeks training/probation period. We offer a competitive wage based on your performance and contribution to the company.
If you would like to contribute to this growing company, learn to manage a busy restaurant, and gain opportunities to grow a career in the food and beverage or business marketing industries, please send your resume and cover letter to Rajio. Applications can be submitted by email or in person at Rajio Japanese Public House, 3763 West 10th Avenue & Alma, between 2pm and 4:30pm.
