JFC International Vancouver is seeking a Food Buyer

F/T; $17/hr

JFC International (CANADA) Inc., an importer and wholesaler of Japanese and other Asian food products, is seeking a Food Buyer.
Duties include:
- Forecasting market demands and ordering products to meet our customers’ needs;
- Meeting with vendors to build up cooperative relationships;
- Reviewing orders to look for optimization of amount and delivery schedule of products;
- Traveling to other cities for market research and to meet and negotiate with suppliers on prices and other terms;
- Negotiating with Japanese and other Asian vendors to purchase and import quality food products with optimized costs.

Requirements:
-Completed secondary school
-Previous food service experience an asset
-Japanese language ability an asset
