LSI is an international consulting company specializing in the area of lean process improvement. Highly respected and considered to be one of the most experienced in lean, we work with companies across North America and in Asia and Europe to train people and implement lean management techniques based on the Toyota Way Principles. Our clients range from small companies to large Fortune 500 corporations. We are one of the few companies in North America with coaches who have had direct lean implementation experience from Japan. Due to an increased demand for our services, we have an opening for a full-time Senior Event and Marketing Coordinator.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Event and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the planning and delivery of our training and executive programs. Responsibilities include:

communicating with program participants and potential clients
marketing and advertising of events
planning, preparation and delivery of our programs
managing the arrangements for catering requirements and hotels
research for projects and new initiatives
managing our social media (blog, website, Facebook, Twitter)


You are someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. With programs running simultaneously, often under tight pressures and deadlines, the ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a customer-oriented environment and is comfortable handling a variety of projects at the same time. You will also provide administrative support to the president and coaches. This position involves some travel to cities in North American, Asia and Europe.

As we have a number of programs involving Japanese companies, we require someone who is fluently bilingual in both English and Japanese.

Requirements

university or college degree
3-5 years marketing or public relations experience
3-5 years experience in event and marketing planning
fluency and accuracy in written and spoken English
ability to communicate professionally
strong office organization skills
meticulous attention to detail
ability to take initiative and work independently under tight deadlines
outstanding interpersonal skills - team-oriented, outgoing, a customer-service attitude
strong computer skills in MS Office, Excel, Power Point
experience in web editing and movie making software would be an asset
experience dealing with social media marketing
valid driver’s license
fluency in Japanese and English is required
permanent residency status or Canadian citizenship is required
