The Translator (Japanese)/Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth communication with our Japanese client. The successful candidate liaises (verbally and written) with the client to ensure project deliverables are mutually agreed upon and executed in a timely manner, and may coordinate the work of the internal production team.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Translates documents or other communication from English to Japanese and vice versa
- Interprets from English to Japanese during conference calls and client visits

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities may include:
- Schedules and coordinates work flow across departments to ensure project deliverables are met
- Reviews master production schedules, establishes priorities, and revises schedules if necessary
- Confers with Art, Design, Engineering and QA departments to determine work progress and to provide information on changes

Required Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- Fluent in Japanese (native Japanese speakers preferred)
- Fluent written Japanese (Kanji, Hiragana, Katakana)
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of video games and video game terminology
- Meticulous approach to work
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Preferably game industry experience
