Lean Sensei is an international business consulting company which is experiencing rapid growth due to high demand world-wide.
Already considered the most experienced and respected consulting company in Canada in the field of Japanese management technique and Toyota business system, Lean Sensei specializes in teaching Japanese business technique and Toyota processes to companies in Canada, the US, Japan, and other countries. We provide consulting and training at numerous locations throughout the world, including Vancouver, San Francisco, Florida, New York/New Jersey, Calgary/Edmonton, Australia, Japan, and others. We have a strong relationship with Toyota from Japan and focus on providing Toyota-style training. We are the largest consulting firm in Canada focusing on Toyota-style programs.

We work with both local companies and international Fortune 500 companies, including such companies as Johnson & Johnson, United Airlines, Weyerhaeuser Inc, Hitachi, and many others.

We have recently hired two people but due to growing demand, we are looking for one more staff person as follows:

Position: Conference/Event Planner; Full time position

Requirements: Bilingual (Japanese and English); must be able to write and read in both English and Japanese

Education: College or University degree

Experience: Three (3) or more years of business experience, including experience managing or organizing events, conferences, seminars, and programs

Salary: If you qualify for the position and obtain a permanent staff job at Lean Sensei as a Conference Planner, the total compensation package, including full medical/dental/drug plan, annual corporate bonus, and vacation pay will equal to $36,000 per year (assuming that you meet all qualifications). Final compensation will be dependent on your experience and qualification.

There will be on-the-job training initially regardless of the position within our company. Our work focus primarily on business strategy, project implementation, and specialized Toyota-style coaching.

Our brand new office is located in south Vancouver near the airport because many of our clients are from international locations and therefore will be flying into Vancouver to come and see us. Many of our corporate programs and events are also held in downtown, typically at Terminal City Club - one of most prestigious business facilities in Vancouver. The remaining programs and events are held in various locations throughout the country. For example, our next series of events will be held in Terminal City Club in November, Hawaii in February, Japan in April, etc.

Our work is conducted in both English and Japanese.

To answer your question regarding the type of events we organize, we deliver 20 to 30 events a year ranging from 1 day seminars to multi-day executive sessions in international locations. Currently we are conducting business workshops in Canada, US, and Japan. The topics include executive strategy, process improvements (kaizen), and leadership skills. If you wish to perform a background check on our company, please go ahead and type "Lean Sensei" in google search and you will see that many of our conferences and profiles appear in the search results.

Please note that this will be the last question we will be responding as we are finalizing the candidates shortly. Amount of travel will depend on the qualification but several trips a year is expected as a minimum, travelling to the US, some parts of Canada, and Japan. For example, in the next 6 months, Lean Sensei is travelling to Japan, Thailand, China, Hawaii, San Diego, and Seattle, to name some locations. Thank you.
