International Business Consulting Company
by Lean Sensei International from バンクーバー 2007/07/10 21:59:09

Lean Sensei is an international business consulting company which is experiencing rapid growth due to high demand.
Already considered the most experienced and respected consulting company in Canada in the field of Japanese management technique and Toyota business system, Lean Sensei specializes in teaching Japanese business technique and Toyota processes to companies in Canada, the US, Japan, and other countries. We provide consulting and training at numerous locations throughout the world, including Vancouver, San Francisco, Florida, New York/New Jersey, Calgary/Edmonton, Australia, Japan, and others. We have a strong relationship with Toyota from Japan and focus on providing Toyota-style training. Most of our staff are Japanese-speaking or trained in Japan.

We are looking for several people in the areas of
office/administrative work, marketing assistant, promotion
and client relations, event support, graphics design, consulting, training, and various others. As our business is conducted in both Japanese and English, our environment provides an excellent opportunity for Japanese to learn Canadian business and to improve English. You will be exposed to working with both local Vancouver companies as well as fortune 500 international firms. Some of our clients include Johnson & Johnson (New York), Weyerhaeuser (Seattle), United Airlines (San Francisco), LK Industries (Florida), Nature’s Path (Vancouver), Nippon Express (Japan), and more. We work with some of the leading edge companies in this field.

You must be able to speak English but we will consider
people with short term VISA or working holiday VISA who may not be fluent in English (permanent residence preferred). We provide extensive in-house training and full benefits are offered for full-time permanenent positions.

Number of positions are available so please contact us
directly for details. Positions offered are full time, but part time, and seasonal positions are also available.
You may send your resume in Japanese or English directly to:

info@leansensei.com

When sending your resume, please provide information on your status (working holiday VISA, permanent residence, student, etc)

I’m interested, but where is the company? Also, could you tell me roughly how much the wage is(per hour)?

Thank you.

Thank you for your enquiry. Our company is based in Vancouver (1200 W. 73rd Ave, near Granville & 73rd), located inside a large commercial building. The salary or hourly wage is dependent on your qualifications, but our pay is above average and we pay wage similar to most Canadian companies in Vancouver. Full time, permanent positions also include extended medical, dental, and eye benefit package.

Just to add further comment: our wages are 30 to 50% higher when compared to typical service-related jobs you find in jpcanada.com.

Thank you so much for your reply. I see that you need your own transportation. Is there a bus or Skytrain near the company? I live near downtown.

We are located inside Airport Square building near Granville & 73rd (the largest commercial building in the area, with 14 floors). Our brand new office will be located on the 9th floor. The office is only a few minutes away from the Vancouver transit loop at the bottom of Granville Street and Marine Drive. We are located in south Vancouver near the airport because many of our clients are from international locations and therefore will be flying into Vancouver to come and see us. Many of our corporate programs and events are also held in downtown, typically at Terminal City Club - one of most prestigious business facility in Vancouver. The remaining programs and events are held in various locations throughout the country. For example, our next series of events will be held in Terminal City Club in September, Japan in October, Hawaii in January, etc. I hope this answers your questions.

To answer some questions we have received so far, please note that our language use is: 60% English and 40% Japanese inside the company; 100% English with outside clients & customers. There will be on-the-job training initially regardless of the position within our company. Our work focus primarily on business strategy, project implementation, and specialized Toyota-style coaching. Because we train from the beginning, you do not have to have business consulting experience to apply. We are looking for people with positive attitude and enthusiasm. Even though we have received many resumes already, we are still accepting resumes so please continue to send them directly to: info@leansensei.com or you may post questions here.

Some of you have asked whether you can drop off the resume in person. Please note that we prefer that you send the resume by email to: info@leansensei.com
If for some reason you must drop off the hard copy of the resume in person, you may drop it off on the 9th floor of Airport Square Building (1200 W. 73rd, Vancouver). Please note that Lean Sensei staff will not be available to see you when you drop off the resume. Our main reception is on the 11th floor. Please note that we prefer to receive all questions and correspondents by email.
Thank you

We received many questions about people with working holiday VISA. Yes we will consider working holiday VISA applicants even if you only have 6 months left. We believe in hiring people with the right mindset and thinking (similar to Toyota approach), and therefore VISA status is not as important as the attitude. If you join Lean Sensei with working holiday VISA, and there is a good match for long term career, we will assist in obtaining longer term VISA or work permit. We are looking to build a long term working relationship.
Thank you for your questions. If people have further questions, you may send them to: jobs@leansensei.com (Japanese) or info@leansensei.com (English)

Thank you for your enquiry. We are currently going through interview sessions but still accepting resumes. We would enourage people who are interested to apply soon as we will begin to close the interview sessions. We are currently looking to fill several part and full time positions. More positions may open up throughout the year so if you have an interest in working for the only Canadian/Japanese hybrid business consulting company in Canada, please apply.
