Kishimoto Japanese Restaurant on Commercial Drive is looking for a part time server!

STARTS:
As soon as possible

SCHEDULE:
Must be available 2 to 3 days a week:
2 - 3 shifts/week, approximately 4 to 6 hours/shift, and starting time between 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
(Training shifts may start earlier)
Must be available on weekends

WAGES:
$16.75/hour + tips

JOB DUTIES:
Include but not limited to: taking dine-in orders, serving food and beverages, explaining dishes to customers, set up/clean up, using POS system and handling cash/card transactions, answering the phone, accepting take-out orders by phone and delivery app, packing orders, following food safety practices, some hosting duties - using tablet to organize walk in diners and reservations, greeting and seating customers, ensuring customers have an enjoyable experience.

REQUIREMENTS:
Prior serving experience essential
Valid serving it right certification
Able to multitask in a busy, fast paced setting
Enjoys working in a small team
Positive attitude and respectful of others
Reliable and responsible
Passionate about food
English language skill level: fluent or intermediate level
Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident preferred, if work permit - must be able to work more than 6 months
Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine (not required but will be helpful)
