Hi,
I would like someone to teach me how I can type in Japanese on my shool’s computers. It seems like my school’s computers don’t allow me to download any softwares online, so I am unable to refer to the instructions I found from the past postings.
Can anybody help me??
Thank you...

Control Panel
Date,Time, Language, and Regional Options

Hi,
Thank you for the immediate reply.
But I could not input Japanese language on my school’s computer by the way you told me.
I was able to open the “Text Services and Input Languages” screen, but the system did not have Japanese languages nor Chinese language in the additional language lists.
I clicked the “Languages” tab on the Regional and Language Options screen, and it says “Install files for East Asian languages” to install additional languages. And I tried to install the “files for East Asian languages” by clicking the tick box, but an error message popped up saying “Please inset the Compact Disc labeled ‘Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD’ into your CD-ROM derive D: and then click OK.”
Unfortunately I don’t have the disc, and I got stuck in here… @@;
Does anybody know another way to type in Japanese?
Thank you.

You have to ask your system administrator to install those software. Even if you have CD, you need an administrator account to modify the setting.
If you cannot change the setting, you can still try web-based IME.
This should work for MAC as well.
