Hello, my name is Daniel and I’m currently an UBC student studying for a Master’s degree in engineering. I am tutoring conversational English part time for many reasons. To keep myself busy, focus on something other than school, learn about Japanese culture and to make some extra money. I am a fairly easygoing and friendly guy!

Tutoring will focus on conversational elements such as pronunciation, sentence structure, commonly used phrases and the use of some slang. I do not have a lesson plan because I prefer the student to make an effort with talking. I want the students to practice thinking of ideas and then communicating their ideas in English. During our tutoring, I will record the corrections or important notes on paper for your review. My tutoring style is also flexible so I am open to your suggestions.

I usually tutor in the evening in downtown Vancouver at a café. However, I can also tutor at UBC on certain days so please inquire! I charge a low cost of $15/hr because this is like a hobby for me.
