It has been almost 6 months since I last studied Japanese. Last summer I used this website and met a few japanese people but they have all returned back to their country. After that I never studied anything.

Everyone asks me why I want to learn Japanese. My answer is because it’s one of the best countries in the world and the best in Asia. That’s why almost all the Japanese who come here go back to their country. Unlike Chinese and Koreans who usually want to immigrate here. I still like Canada better but Japan ranks in my top 5 countries.

I know it’s not true for everyone but I found the people who come here usually have more free time than me. I mean since in Japan I know your life is very busy. But in Canada you have fever friends here and no family as well as not having to work many hours. So we can meet for longer time if you can meet me near where I live. It is not downtown but close by.

My work is not related to Japan but learning is my hobby. My level is still beginner but not total beginner since I know some basic words.

The big difference I noticed between Japanese and Canadians is that they love to plan out their time. Usually I don’t make so many plans in advance. So you can ask me to meet the same day and probably I could meet you if I had time. But Japanese people seem to want to meet on specific time such as Wednesday at 3:15pm. And they show up on time butu usually I’m a few minutes late.

And why do I use this website? My friend told me about it. I tried to talk to some Japnese people on the street but usually they are too scared to talk with foreigners and give me a strange look that’s why I never try to meet people from street anymore.
