ところで、トピたての例文でＲｉｋａＲｉｋａちゃまが「are you gonna get that offer」と書いたけど、そういう場合は「get」ではなくて、「take」が相応しいと思うけど。

I can’t explain why, but here are some examples:

Billさん：I need to get a job.

RikaRika: What sort of job do you want to get?

Billさん: I don’t know, but I’d like to get a job in Japan. I love Sushi, and maybe I could get myself a hachimaki and some Jinbei.

.......3 weeks later..........

Billさん: Hey, RikaRika, I just got a great job offer!!!!!

RikaRika: That’s great, Bill. Are you going to take it?
