Hi my name is Derek and I am finding it hard to make Japanese friends in Vancouver even though there are many Japanese people here. You are probably finding it hard to make Canadian friends even though there are so many Canadians in Vancouver. One of the reasons is because Vancouver is a big city. I worked in Kumamoto for 1 year and it was so easy to make Japanese friends. I have also been to Gifu, Naha, Osaka, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagano, Takamatsu, Kyoto, Sapporro and all over Kyushu. I hope we can become friends in this big city!
