上記の英文で"be changing"の部分は
"continuous infinitive"だとESLで習いました。
先生の説明がよくわからなかったのですが
infinitiveって日本語にすると不定詞なので
動詞の前に"to"が必要だと思うのですが・・・。

どなたか"to"がないのに"continuous infinitive"である
理由がわかる方いませんか？
よろしくお願いします。

The continuous infinitive:

to be + present participle, e.g.to be swimming, to be joking, to be waiting

Examples:

* I’d really like to be swimming in a nice cool pool right now.
* You must be joking!
* I happened to be waiting for the bus when the accident happened.
